General Information
The regular season league and tournaments take place during the spring between March and May. Optional off-season opportunities, such as winter leagues, clinics, and/or play days are also offered as available.
Spring 2026 practice season begins on March 2 for grades 3-8 and March 9 for grades K-2. Grades 3-8 will have weekend games. Game schedules will be updated on the website once released by the league but usually begin at the end of March. In this league, games are held on Play Days, with all teams traveling to the host school and playing two games, similar to a tournament pool play. All teams (K-8) will also play in the Rock the Cages Tournament, hosted by MTGYLA on May 2-3, 2026.
Required Equipment For All Players
Spring Equipment for Players – all age levels
-Girls’ lacrosse stick (Boy’s lacrosse sticks not permitted)
-Protective eye wear (girl's or women's lacrosse goggle or headgear)
-Mouth guard
-Cleats (suggested) or sneakers depending on age (Practices are on turf, some games are played on grass at all age levels)
-Warm practice/game clothing for the start of season-wa
-Water bottle
It can be cold/rainy and such in March/April. Please be sure to dress appropriatel; layers are highly recommended, along with hat and gloves early in the season. Weaver Fields tend to be 10-15 degrees colder or warmer than the current temp of the day due to wind. Please be sure to label all of your player's equipment as things can get shuffled a bit during games & practices
Players do not need high-end equipment to learn the sport! Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions. MTGYLA does not want cost to be a barrier to play. Contact us if you need assistance with obtaining gear.
Goalies do not need to provide their own goalie pads and helmet.
